THERMAL IMAGING
Thermal Imaging Camera
We use a thermal imaging camera with all inspections at no additional cost to you. Thermal imaging, also called infrared thermography is one of the most advanced pieces of equipment used by a Home Inspector. These cameras can detect radiation that is beyond the spectrum of the naked eye. Images are then recorded that display temperature variations. These temperature variations can help indicate moisture intrusion, electrical hot spots, heat loss, insufficient insulation, etc. The image on the left is a common electrical panel found in most homes as seen with the naked eye. The image on the right is the same electrical panel that was viewed with the use of a thermal imaging camera. Any electrical hot spots in the panel can be easily detected by displaying temperature variations in the breakers.
